The term Posology originates from Greek word "posos" meaning how much and
"logos" meaning study. but the question of posology in Homopathic context extends

quantity and form of medicine; and the repetition of the medicine. there are three types
of scales used to prepare protencies; the decimal scale (denoted as D or X Scale where
the medicinal substance is diluted at a ratio of 1:10), Centesimal scale (denoted as C
